    Bagpipe scholarships

I don't know how this could have escaped the attention of someone here but just in case I will post it.
A friend just sent me a link to an article about a graduating bagpipe major from Carnegie Mellon University. They offer a 4 year $7000. per year scholarship to bagpipe majors.

I am 60 so I'm pretty sure I am too old for it but some Xmarker surely has a child or grandchild that is interested.

I agree with JolyStNicholas. That is too cool.

It sounds like Nick Hudson, the school's third piping major, is on his way to a successful career doing something he loves. Good on him.

Iona College, Lyon College, Monmouth College, Manhattan College, St. Andrews Presbyterian College, and the College of Wooster all offer bagpipe scholarships as well.

Looks like the media once again didn't have all the facts.
