Kilted Pirates!
So, we had our monthly kilted gathering at Pirate Fest this month.
I haven't got time to post much right now-gotta go honor the fathers in the family. Please, add pictures here.
Here's a little teaser...
A good time was had by all...
I think...
Be well,

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

The 3rd Annual Northern California Pirate Festival (unofficially known by the NorCal Rabble as Black Utilikilt Day) is held on the shore front of Vallejo, a town with a rich nautical history. It's two days of entertainment, education, eating, drinking, and shopping.
The sail above it attached to the mast of a "ghost ship" which has somehow sunken below the grass. Visitors are given an opportunity to see many aspects of a sailing ship without getting seasick.
At the event, all weapons must be "peace tied".
One big event is the daily battle between a sailing ship and the shore battery. Here's one gun crew answering some visitors questions.

There were plenty of interesting people to see.
And animals - such as this fur stole.
And dogs.
Here's a more utilitarian dog.
