My three contemporaries are worn at my navel, and have hidden pockets, it all depends on how they are placed and constructed. I bet a Freedom Kilt in tartan does a better than average job of hiding the pockets when in use, check out the pics of the Wiz during the Dumfries Pub Crawl.
