Yeah, I'd say the Thrifty's seem to be about bang on for the real measurement. Just make sure you're getting the accurate measurement, and not a trouser size, and you should be good to go.
And with the relatively easy addition of extra velcro if needed, or Jerry's exceptionally speedy exchange, there seems to be little risk.
Thrifty's are great for "hanging out" kilts where you don't really care if they're all that fancy, or even get messed up beyond repair.
I wouldn't try to wear one with a Prince Charlie outfit mind you, but for casual wear, especially in warm weather, I think they're great!
