Ok, I've chilled! I do thank everyone for your different perspectives without making me out to be an ogre. You are right, the articles that I have read from Scotland are rather cynical and I can see why to an extent. I suppose masses of tourists do make everyday life a hassle at times. But that article was just so off putting. I dunno, just made me feel unwanted.
I'm still looking forward to doing all this festival stuff. It'll be a change from the hill walking we usually do. And I'll wave to you cessna as I drive thru Hawick.
