Those are the patterns they used! I had thought about changing the Hourglass to another pattern, but could not find one to fit my purposes, so I kept it. Fortunately, I like it well enough. Front and back of this is knit the same so it's very easy to learn the sequence. I hope to get a cardi knit for myself one day so that I can have a nice Aran too!
Where do you find your patterns? I have a few books that I use for patterns when I knit a pair kilt hose-some stitch dictionaries and such. It's always interesting to learn where other people get their inspiration!
