Hey, I never thought of storing my kilts with the vestments, altar wine and communion hosts. What a great idea!!

Take one (1) part sacrilege, blend in 2 parts travesty, add a dram or two of single-malt (I'm fond of Glenrothes right now) and you get a lovely little cupboard for storing all sorts of useful kit!

Also, if you are using Mozilla Firefox, there is a way to display saved passwords. It's in the tools, options, security section.

A timely reminder. My laptop got sick last week [I have a desktop too, thank goodness!] and I need to change those saved passwords before I take it into the shop.

How many passwords do people need? I have one, which I use for everything. The only people who use either the family desktop or my laptop are my family. It might be different if the whole world and his brother were constantly using our computers, but they don't. One strong password (8 characters long; upper and lower case; characters and letters) is all anybody needs and is all anybody needs to remember.

yes, but......that's not very secure, should someone swipe your laptop, and your notebook of goodies.

Use something more secure, like Portable Roboform on a USB device. It encrypts and stores passwords for you. You remember a single master password.

Alternatively, you can keep it written down and habny, but coded or otherwise entered so only you understand what the PW is. Like have a convention for most of it that you always know but with certain characters that you can change and which you can make note of as reference.
