A tiny little thing for sure...but...

Started out with, and for many years have been, placing the buckle of my sporran straps at the center of my back.

Of course I have to buckle them up when to one side then pull them back into position. Got to thinking that's not good on the kilt material.

Also, often feel the buckle pressing into my back when seated.

Of late I've begun moving the sporran strap buckle to the front, hidden behind the sporran itself.

I find it much more comfortable when seated and much easier to buckle and unbuckle from the front.

Am I late to the party and just figuring this "trick" out? Still see most sporran strap buckles positioned in center back in pics and in person at highland games.

Not sure if its "correct" but I've come to like having the sporran strap buckle up front that's the way I'm doing it now.
