    could it be feasible to keep something like that in a cedar box/trunk of the sort?... keeps the bugs out of it.... I keep certain items of Native American origins in cedar boxes, to keep them safe.. I am curious if this would work for the sporrans no matter what they are made from.

    Doubt it would cause your sporran any harm... or you could just put cedar shavings in a drawer and that would probably be about as effective.
