She asked if it was OK to go and everyone said yes. That was it. The funeral was actually very joyous somehow....Hard to explain, but she made time to say a long goodbye to everyone. I think that helped.

Yes, I think you are right Josh, your friend had the time to process leaving this life, saying the goodbyes to friends and love ones and prepare herself in coming to her understanding what was on the other side of this earthy existence. Sounds to me she conquered death and is peace on the other side. My condolescences to all she has left behind.
