Guid oan ya Paul!
These are a fabulous set of pictures.
Grade 4 bands, third photo down, marching towards the camera is Hawick Pipe Band in the Hawick tartan. I recognise most of the people in this shot. In the second row there appears to be a Sutherland kilt which suggests a piper borrowed from Hawick Scout Fellowship Pipe Band. Hawick finished last in the Grade 4 finals but at least they had the honour of qualifying to take part.

I was sitting infront of all of their families who made the event and had a chat with them about the band. They've come a long way and are improving fast.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Great pictures Paul, you would not believe that earlier the rain was pouring down just like this morning. Yours photos make the event comparable with any event in warmer climates that we see so often and often wish that we were there.
I bet loads of guys and gals after looking at these, were wishing they had been to the Worlds, it turned out a magnificent occasion.
The play that we saw on Saturday night, The Last Witch at the Citizens was performed by the Traverse Theatre Company and will be playing at the Festival, it was'nt bad.
Great meeting you and Laura again and thanks for the photo of you and me. I'll keep it beside my treasured dandelion that Ern gave me in Edinburgh
