Yes, though I can't look at the pictures, the jacket is evening wear deu to the lapells mostly. However, you could, and probably should, wear a five button waistcoat with a jabot and the jacket with silver-ish buttons. Though I think you would probably leave the cloth covered buttons on the five button waistcoat. It is possible to get five button waistcoats that are marketed as evening wear and would be of similar materiels as this Eton jacket...
