And to think all this happened just 25 miles away!
You must have made a formidable sight to unsuspecting hikers.

Oooh, this is too weird. I actually had a staff of six Rangers this year, one of the guys didn't want to make a kilt (more about him later) and one girl named...
wait for it....
Kimberly!
As for the guy that didn't make a kilt...he got his the night after this photo was taken. The guys all wanted to show off their new duds, so after work we went down to the sprawling metropolis of Black Mountain, NC to the local watering hole. A number of ladies came up over the course of the evening to ask about the kilts. One of these curious women was in the middle of her interrogation when she looked at the kiltless Ranger and said, "So what's wrong with you??"
I've not come that close to laughing myself into a coma in quite a while...

I nearly filled my keyboard with beer when I read this story! There's nothing that gets a guy in a kilt faster than seeing how it draws the attention of ladies! Thanks for the laugh.

Its great you can combine two things that are important to you. I commend you on you'd efforts and I can imagine the great feelings you have on the trail.
