"The Guild" Season 3 Episode 1

    Hey all!

I just caught a kilt in a show you may not be familiar with called "The Guild". It's a web show with each episode consisting of between 4 to 6 minutes. It stars geek goddess Felcia Day, and it's about her and a group of online video game players. You can watch most of the videos online except Season 3 Episode 1 which will be out September 1, or if you've got an Xbox 360 and are a Gold member then you can download it now. Anyway to the good stuff...

In the episode, Felcia and her group of friends are camped outside a GameStop waiting for the release of a video game. In the last few seconds of the episode, a group of guys dressed in black cut to the front of the line. Felcia confronts the group. The camera focuses in on Wil Wheaton's face (yes, that's Will Wheaton aka Wesley Crusher from Star Trek: The Next Generation), and zooms out. For a few seconds, you can see Wil standing in a black t-shirt, a black kilt with what looks like the Sport Kilt logo on it, and a green sporran with what looks like a black leather cross on it. He is wearing both the sporran chains, and the straps that hang on his belt to support it.

Check it out if you can or check it out Sept 1, and let me know what you think.

Love that show, and I love that Wil is in it. (He's a writer now in addition to the occasional acting gig. He's on Twitter at @wilw.) That he's the evil leader of the rival clan is classic.

The Guild is hilarious if you're a World of Warcraft fan or player (like myself-don't tell anyone!).

Felicia Day was also in Josh Whedon's 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog' and she's also got a dance video on the web that's based on The Guild.

I better split and find that Wil Wheaton ep. He's quite the geek himself!

I hadn't seen the trailer yet. Thanks for the link. Wil ever gets "the question" in the video. That's the first full shot I've seen of him. Looks like black hose and red flashes. I can't make out the feet.

Apparently Wil provided at least some of his own wardrobe (not surprising, given the shoestring budget for The Guild) as he mentioned on Twitter that he's got some Sportkilts, and was thinking about wearing one to PAX, IIRC.

    Exclamation

Just saw Season 3 Ep.s 1 and 2, that was really funny! Will Wheaton is indeed wearing either a Boulder or Commando Sportkilt, you can see the small SK logo on the pocket flap.

And you can see the logo on the pocket because he is WEARING IT BACKWARDS! Way to go Wesley! :buttkick:
