The only cold I noticed when I wore my kilt in single digit weather was when I stood still. When that occurred, I noticed the cold wind on my knees, but if I kept moving I was fine.

I simply prefer the cold of winter to the heat of summer. For me, a chilly, blustery late autumn afternoon is just about perfect!

I can answer that for myself- it's because an 8 yard 16 oz kilt is just too hot to wear in the summer! A nice pair of Lewis Rich kilt hose and an 8 yard 16 oz'er and, you'll be just fine- especially if you have a jacket- or in my case, a trench coat. (Rocky Mountain winters are nothing to sneeze at, either... or maybe they are... )
