I was thinking the same thing, Jock! I guess that's why the Vikings were attracted to our land in the first place.

Great pics, beautiful country. Did you see anyone while out on the trail? Looks remote, actual wilderness, at least from the pics.

In fact, I met quite a few people. It's very popular to go hiking in these mountains. Many stay over in tourist cabins and hike with somewhat less package than me.

Really beautiful pictures and incredible scenery. What was then temperature during your hiking days and nights?

In the daytime temp was between 10 and 16 degrees Celsius and at night temp went down to 4 degrees Celsius.
Balder freezes easily so he ended up in my sleeping bag during the night.

Just wow! Thank you for taking us along on your trip. (albeit without the blisters and sore legs!) The scenery is just stunning and makes me want to travel there to behold it for myself. That is as high a praise as I can offer!

Thanks for sharing your spectacular photos from your hike. Glad you got to experience that, and thanks for sharing them.

Sorry to hear about the blisters. Are they always part of such a strenuous hike, no way to avoid that?
