    Viking Invasion o'Dumfries

    The Norwegians at Ferintosh Guest House, Porrick with one of his male students who was quickly introduced to kilt wearing, and nine lassies;

Only two Norwegians and two Scots in kilts at the start but more kilties would join us later in the evening.

The rabble at Burns Statue, by now Craig had joined us.

We went to Cavens for a meal.

Outside Cavens after dinner, by now Niall has joined us

    In the New Bazaar

Leaving the New Bazaar, another local kiltie has joined the rabble.

    Where next?

The customary seminar shot by the riverside.

Craig in the Coach and Horses, note the kilt belt.

    Next stop the Stag.

The Norwegians are obviously a mathematically superior race, they know the right proportions of a good rabble!

Great to see Patrick in such familiar surroundings!

    Cheers

Live entertainment by a musical trio in the globe, and the guy with the guitar also gave a good recitation of Tam o' Shanter.

Our Norwegian friends had a go at sitting in the bard's chair and reciting some Burns verse.

    Leaving the Globe

    Next stop Fleshers

    A guid gangin kilt night!!

Last pub of the night - The Waverley Bar

Singalong and sandwiches in the Waverley.

Pour1Malt launches the chinese lantern to mark the end of the pub crawl.

Saturday night we had tickets for the Scocha gig.

In the Theatre Royal, Dumfries, which opened in 1792 and where Robert Burns was a regular member of the audience until his death in 1796.

    Eager anticipation by the lassies.

The gig lived up to expectations, Ian Scott geez it sum welly

    A guid concert

A last photo outside the Granary after the concert.

Looks like a wonderful time, when I do get over, I'll have to recite Tam in Rab's chair in The Globe.
