We enjoy any excuse for a party, even recreating our youthful costumed trick-or-treating. For most of us Halloween is much like Mardi-Gras or Carnival. It's a chance to become either incognito or an alter ego by dressing up in costume and experiencing a slightly different persona.

Aye Jamie, I am very much afraid that is true - and it is spreading eastwards across the pond fairly speedily too, although I am not aware that adults get involved with the Halloween thing. I certainly do not know any!
