I made mine out of a solingen steel blank I had left over from some long ago project, and a piece of fancy walnut turned on my lathe. I inlaid a pewter thistle button in the butt.
Am not where I can access it for a few days or would post you a picture. You can get blades from Atlanta Cutlery for around $15 the last I checked. I have not done so but plan to this winter. Thought I would make a few.
You can find DIY threads on here to give you a lot of good ideas. With a little imagination and only a little bit of ability you can make something which will mean more to you than what you buy.

I ordered mine from the Scottish Tartans Museum. It's wood, carved in a "military style," but the stone is imitation Cairngorm. It's a very nice piece.
These days, it's illegal to mine for Cairngorm stones. However, I know of a place that has a tray with some left that were mined years ago...aah, the mystery...

>I may buy one of these and look at getting the stone replaced with something real like smokey quartz.<
This isn't really a problem, if you know how to work with settings (or know someone who does).
I wouldn't mind doing some setting works for folks...
