My wife and I are taking the ferry from Seattle on Friday morning. (the clipper ferry at 8:00 am)
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Actually, I have been known to give him the time of day.
Repeatedly.
As for this:

As I won't be there, , ya'll are on your own!

OK, got a reservation at the Royal Scot for a couple of nights. Got a reservation on BC Ferries for 5:00 on the 23rd. Sunday morning on the way out we'll just take what comes.
She of Clan Comyn is making plans to buy a new German pickle crock while in town, and agonizing about what to wear to tea on Saturday. "Just wear a skirt, Dear. That's what I'm wearing."
Called Steve and finally pulled the trigger on a new kilt, and made arrangements to get myself a good sporran when I'm there in the shop.
I'm worried, though. I Skyped with the Wiz for 35 minutes and he didn't have any coffee. Something about leaving the cup at home. I suggested that a coffee POT is just a large coffee CUP, if one takes the right look at it.
It's gonna take some time to get out to Vancouver, depending on weather. Since there's no 4:00 sailing, I took the 5:00, which means...
I will need to know where dinner is and how to get there, because I'm not even driving off the ferry until 6:30, and I'm gonna guess it's going to take a while to get into town.
Did I mess up? Should I rebook for the 3:00 sailing and leave real early?
Suggestions!

Assuming the ferry docks at Schwartz Bay on time, and with the high probability of traffic on the Pat Bay Highway (road from the ferry to Victoria), it will be 7:30 before you make it in town, and then you have to find the Royal Scot and us. I would suggest rebooking and catching the 3:00 ferry, unless you only want to join us for the end of the meal, beginning of dessert, or the later Kilted Pub Crawl. I realize that means getting up very early in the morning.......
