Okay then, It was my grandfather on my mother's side who was from Wales. That must be where that tradition comes from.

The pics are great. Congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy life together! Yes, the tradition is Welsh. There is a noted spooner carver in central PA who attends some Celtic fairs. His works are pieces are art.
