Hey, I got married.
Hey! Somehow, I managed to get the most beautiful girl I know to marry me. Here's some pictures that my cousin took. I'll put some of mine up later I suppose.
It's an old tradition in the family to give a wooden spoon at certain occasions, such as proposing marriage. This is an oak spoon I carved from a 100+ year old tree that fell last about a month before I proposed. I broke half a dozen tools carving it; the wood is so dense.
This is my parents, sisters and their husbands. My dad is doing a kilt check in the photo.
Our friend, Aaron, is smudging the room before the ceremony. Part of his family's tradition is to burn sage as a way of purifying people and places with the smoke. You can't see in this photo, but he is wearing some Black Watch trews that I got him.
My good friend, Nate, is reading "The Square Root of Three" a poem by David Feinberg.
The wedding party. From left to right, the tartans are: the Offaly, Kilkenny, and Galloway district tartans. And then the maid of honor is in her sari.
So here I am, back on campus, still wearing the kilt. Only today I have a pullover instead of the formal outfit.
