If I had a bow, I could have bagged three decent bucks from my bedroom window the other day.

I prefer a ground blind (simply because no one's ever fallen out of one).

I miss hunting... this whole going to school in a city with my father's an my guns 3 hours north situation makes doesn't make it easy. I wonder if I'd be allowed to borrow my Dad's bow and keep it in my dorm room... probably not, but it probably won't hurt to ask.
Good luck hunting kilted! You should make a deer leather sporran. The tail with fur could be easily incorporated into the design, but I don't know how well that'd hold up: the fur seems to come off fairly easily over time.

Saw 3 nice bucks this past weekend. 2 along the road on my way to my family land. The 3rd was running in the back 40 while we were eating lunch. I don't bow hunt, but was out fixing up our gun stands. Saw a little deer sign, but no actual anumals while we were in the woods.
I did almost get a doe as she and two fawns crossed the road just after dark in front of me! Also a couple dumb turkeys who decided to wait until I drove past to cross the road.

Does this mean there will be turkey sporrans?

Found a fresh scrape, about 25 yards from my stand. Now, I just have to be there when the buck comes back.

Our deer season ended in September. And we aren't allowed to use tree stands in Wyoming.
Elk season is still open though.

Our regular season doesn't start until this Saturday, and lasts through the first Saturday in January. What we have now is the early muzzleloading season. We are allowed two deer per day and 6 in a season, but 3 of the 6 have to be does. I will take at least one doe for the table during the season, but at this time of year, when the bucks have romance on their mind, I let the does walk in hope that a buck might be following.
