Yes are there X-kilt makers or just recovering kilt makers. Be careful of getting to close to a bolt of 100% virgin wool in a discount bin. Passing by the local yard goods establishment and see the new line of como cloth on display.

I know whereof Alan speaks... life happens in cycles.

Kiltmaking (and kiltwearing) is great in its cycle, and it may cycle back again later. I have a feeling we'll not be cutting Alan loose in his dory to drift forever.

That it is. That's an elfyn.

I'm not building that exact boat, but rather something very much like it, of my own design. I've made the first model, figured out the problems (there was a big one) and am starting on model #2.
