    Thanks for the feedback guys.....Next time I make one I try to use a softer wood like birch that olive wood is really hard!!!!!!!!!

    you could try using sycamore, it's a close grained hardwood, easily worked either by carving or on a lathe, and the wood has been used in the production of domestic cooking utensiles for many years due to it having antisceptic properties.
