How is the 'flyer' coming along? We should probably place the order for our wool soon?
Any thoughts on what Elsies like (thinking of a nice gift of some sort)?

The Petaluma Class Flyer
I have the flyer and will send it to anyone who PM's me or emails me. Of course, only the first eight people to actually send their money and registration to Elsie will get a spot!
(If I could figure out where to host the pdf file, I'd post it - but this will work for now.)
The cost of the class is the standard charge for this workshop, $305, which includes the supplies charge.

w2f, sent you a pm for the flyer, but if someone else has it and wants to send it along, that would be great!

Well, so much for attending this course. My car got broken into last night and I have to replace the passenger side window. Since the price of replacement almost exactly matches my deductible, I'll be doing my kilt sewing at home for a bit.
Have fun all those who attend!

Ah, I feel really bad for you. It really sucks when you have to dish out money because of someone else being an idiot. i hope the rest of the New Year is better for you Dixiecat

Thanks.
Sucks that they stole my work laptop too.
Work will cover the laptop, but not the window.

Now that I have my spiffy 'Petaluma Class Flyer', I should probably place an order for some lovely tartan. (not much time left)
The flyer suggest "heavy weight, 16 ounce", and either of the following Mills:
- D.C. Dalgiesh, Dunsdale Mill
or
- Strathmore Woolen Co.
OK, checking out both Mills, 'Strathmore Woolen Co.' does not carry 16 ounce, but they can make a custom run if you want 30+ meters. Yikes!
'D.C. Dalgiesh' carries approximately 30 tartans in 15 ounce (15 is close enough I assume), but 30 is not much of a variety to choose from. As long as I want Black Watch or U.S. Army, I am good, but otherwise...?
Hmmm, now what? I do not want Black Watch, and I can not purchasing 30 meters.
What if I want MacFarlane Red Modern? I found an alternative source that has it in 13 ounce, but not 15 or 16 ounce.
Any advice?
What are others doing?

The Scottish Tartans Museum, under Lochcarron Strome, would be my first choice.
