Snow in Denmark
In most winters we don’t have snow or it is just for a few days. Not so this time; already before Christmas Denmark was covered by snow and it is still there. Cold is it, too, and on many days the wind provides a quite heavy chill effect. January may very well become one of the coldest since official measurements started back in 1874, they say.
The little lake, Lyngby Sø, a few kilometers from our home has frozen over and you can walk across it on the ice. This means that I have been on some tiny islands where I have never been before and where during spring and summer a lot of birds are nesting.
The kilt I’m wearing on the pics is in MacLeod of Harris tartan.
By the way: Could anyone help me with the pronunciation of MacLeod? Is it Mac Le_od or Ma_Cleo_od or Ma_Cloud?

Sorry for the sidetrack. You've got it with "Ma-CLOWD" or "Mac-LOUD". Thanks for the pix; it does look cold.

Great pics, brave man walking on the ice, there are some frozen lochs in the hills around here but I would not feel confident of walking on them.

Nice photos. The snow looks lovely. We've had a very cold winter as well. Temps in the low 30'sF with driving rain (feels like needles when it hits your skin.) The little snow we had, melted almost as soon as it hit the ground.

Nice pics, looks like Michigan in winter, minus ice fishing shanties,snowmobiles, and 4x4 pickups on the ice.
