    Orange county Burns Supper

I know there is a Burns supper this friday at the Costa Mesa country club, but I'll be damned if i can find anything about it on the web. I got my invite through an uncle).
Starts at 6, or six thirty I believe, festivities run from 7-10 (poems, comics, pipers, and maybe a dancer. There's a no-host bar, dinner--and Haggis.
    The cost is usually $40.
Hope that helps. try calling the country club maybe?

I ran into this trouble a couple years ago when our pipe band played there... the trouble stems from the fact that there IS no "Costa Mesa Country Club".

The only County Club in Costa Mesa is the Santa Ana Country Club, so named because it's on Santa Ana Avenue in Costa Mesa, not because it has anything to do with the city of Santa Ana.

Costa Mesa also has two golf courses, called

    Mesa Verde Golf Course

    and

    Costa Mesa Golf Course.

Neither has the words "Country Club" in its name.

But, the leader of our pipe band told us to meet at the Costa Mesa Country Club, which doesn't exist. He meant the clubhouse of the Costa Mesa Golf Course, as it happens.
