Hi, from the Land of Lincoln!
I almost hate being the one who starts this state forum because I don't live in Illinois anymore. But then, Chicago will always be my home town [far south side near Evergreen Park], no matter where I live, and the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign my alma mater.
Please join in, current and former kilted Illinoisans!

Does it count that my family is from Springfield and New Salem since Abe was there, That I went to College in Deerfield, and that my first love was from Rockport?

One of the reasons the Illinois forum is late in forming is that we already have, thanks to Brewboy, a Chicago Kilted social group in Xmarks which makes it easy to PM all the Chicago area folks when something is going on.
I know, I know, Chicago is not all there is to Illinois. We have a farm near Galena and my sister lives near the Quad cities.
So, we count current, past and prospective Illinoisans as well as Cubs fans from around the nation. (if the Cubs had their own tartan, I'll bet that would be highly sought after for kilts).

A Cubs tartan. That? Is a great idea! Although I grew up on the south side, I was always a Cubs fan, in fact, I've never been to a Sox game.

Hello from the Peoria area. I haven't seen too many Kilted around here, but I was Kilted for the Boat Drunk concert in Davenport Ia, and will be Kilted for their concert here in Peoria on Saturday Night. I would also be interested in a QC night if it comes about.
