The war happens in Florence. If something happened, that's pretty far from Phoenix's west side. My cardiologist says no, so... there's always next year.

I'm thinking about hitting the Az Ren Fair instead, though not that same weekend. Tartanic is playing the fair again, and my friend Epaul, of Gryphon Song Jewellers, has a booth this year.

You're quite right. Off of Litchfield road and Indian School Rd. Not far at all. Whoops! I didn't realise it was no longer at Estrella mountain park! I'm afraid if you had problems in the Florence area you might as well pack it in.

Just talked with both my sons. They are planning as going as part of Clan Amuck (a truly fine band of mercenaries). They speak very highly of the event, but I don't think my schedule will allow it.
