someone in need of a lesson about kilts.....
well I was perusing a local secondhand bookstore website, and came across a section called " found at bookmans" its a collection of the things they have found in books that people used for book marks.
well I was enjoying all of the different things till I came across this one

I didn't like seeing this..... so what do you think?
the REALLY sad part about this is if you click the pic it will come up as " german PC" you'd think with all those books maybe they'd pick one up and learn something once in a while....

That's too bad; Bookman's (the original store on Grant) was always on our itinerary whenever we would make run to the Pima Air Museum -- my grandfather made beer and soda can airplanes and sold them to the museum gift shop.

Looks like "German PC" means "German Post Card" depicting dancing at highland games for the benefit of the Volks im eigenen Betrieb. You can't see the back of it, so you don't know. But really, calling it gay? That's the reason to not shop there. Just my take on it.

Rex.

So wait. Is the link to the store's site or to someone who has shopped there?

on the about me type section on the right, it reads "We've bought and traded millions of books, dvds. . ." etc. Sounds like it's at least someone who works at the store.

That appears to be the store's own posting on their website. There are no links for a shopper to post anything and the description says they post things that employees find in books. Someone who works at the store, who has access to the website, thinks kilts and highland dancing are gay. Not very responsible of them.

In my experience, not nearly enough men in kilts are gay, and far too few gay men are kilted ...

Well I think the comments made on the blog ought to have let Bookmans see the error of their ways.
