I just read somewhere that curling is one of the only sports to gain viewers between 2002 and 2006. Here in the States they're planning on airing many hours of it. I should find a "curling for dummies" book so I can at least pretend to know what's happening during the game.

I LIKE the way you think!

Actually there are a few 'backyard' Heavy Athletics games here in the Midwest. A reason to break the cabin fever, get out and crack off the rust and make the best of it.

I find curling strangely intriguing and plan to watch as much as I can from the Games.

er....I just checked Amazon.com and Curling for Dummies by Bob Weeks (Sept. 29th. 2006) IS available.

Have you ever played horseshoes? The idea is to get your stone the closest to the center. The one closest to the center is the team that scores points.

Perfect. No blasted rules to get weighed down by. Just yell when it gets close to the middle. That's about my level of athleticism.
