I think Scotties personify (or canine-ify) the perceived personality of Scottish people. Grumpy - but cute and loveable !

My Bridget is never grumpy. She is the sweetest and most quiet dog I have ever had the pleasure of companioning. She never has a complaint. But cute and loveable to be sure!
    Regards,

    Regards,
Tosh is my third Scottish Terrier and none have been grumpy; all sweet-tempered just as Sadie was described. On the other hand, I've a Deerhound, Barradh, who snorts and grumps from one end of the day to the other.

We have a Westie, Piper, who gets grumpy sometimes- mumbles under her breath. My daughter's mini-doxie- who is more or less a permanent guest (as my daughter is a college student out of town) doesn't grumble, she just speaks her mind, always.
    Regards,

My beagle was inconsolable over a non-hound winning!
