    I love playing the english-speaking card when in Europe. Especially in Germany, even though my German is passable. I like to respond with "Awfully sorry Old Boy, mein Duestch ist sch**ss!" It almost always gets a laugh from whomever is talking to me.

    I've also had the urban mythical old American lady ask me where I'm from (I'm from Wales, ma'am) and compliment me on my very good english! (Happened in Feb 2004 whilst on a snowboarding trip in New Hampshire).
