The Solid Coloured Kilt

I have the black "shadow" tartan, and plan on picking up a nice saffron kilt one of these days. I love the black kilt, great for casual wear, but it's cut rather classic, so it doesn't look "utilikilt" casual.. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it just isn't my style.

Personally, I love solid colors! They lend themselves well to tartan accessories. I like to wear a black kilt with black hose and Dress MacLeod accoutrements- flashes and tie. I have 2 green kilts- one a bright "Irish" green and one a nice olive drab, and I have a saffron. I also have a digital camo kilt. And then I have a nice assortment of tartan. Problem with tartan is that I have strong feelings about wearing ones that are not directly associated with me, so solid colors are a great way to go.
