How about naming it after the small village of 'Plains' located outside the town of Airdrie,in North Lanarkshire, Scotland,About 14 miles east of Glasgow city centre and 32 miles west of Edinburgh.

'Plain' is also an adjective which can describe things that are ordinary, simple, or unattractive. And this is rather plain!

I guess if the price is right, it could be used as a 'drinking' sporran...you should be able to wipe off anything that gets spilled on it during a night in the pub!
