For the casual moments
If you're looking to acquire durable, inexpensive hose in your area, I would suggest checking out the goods at your local soccer shop. They usually offer plain colored socks with good cushioned support for an affordable price. If you're going to wear your kilt out much, durable hose are a must. Then you can upgrade to intricately woven kilt hose with interesting patterns when you get the feel for things. Also, the patterns don't show as much on black hose, so if you get some pick another color. For the black, a nice quality soccer sock looks the same and even has more cushion for long days.

...And yes, MacMillan is certainly right, Any Colour But White is the best way to look fashionable. I include the cream in that statement. You're Scottish, let the colors fly.
