Thanks for the link. A quick search on the forum does not bode well, but maybe things have improved. I would like to have a Regulation, but spent the last of my doublet budget on my spectacular Red PC from Josh at Skye, more on that later.


I think we can agree the PC is not inherently bad, its only drawback seems to be its ubiquity. But familiarity has bred contempt, or at least ambivalence, and I think most hard core THD posters here would recommend a little sartorial individualism over the Little Coatee That Succeeded Too Well. As I say, there is nothing inherently bad about the design- it accommodates expansion, it connotes the Highlands and denotes formality, it is the Late Model Sedan of Scots Formalwear.

And, I guess, that means the Regulation is the Coachbuilt Saloon these days, or have I stretched the poor metaphor beyond its limit?
