    The lace is sewn into a wide cloth band (we used the same natural silk as we did for the collar), which is sized to fit snugly on my wrists and buttons closed. The shirt cuff comes over that.

    The commercially produced lace cuffs I have seen have used elastic in the cuffs to get a good fit, but we wanted to avoid that.
