I am going back over in August for 6 days of glorious golfing ( the event and hopefully the weather being glorious, probably not my abilities or score) at some rather nice courses, at staying at some rather nice hotels and B&Bs, and at this point I intend on taking pants only for the flights to and from Scotland, and will be kilted, or possibly in a pair of plus fours, for the remainder of the 8 days, even on the courses. Can hardly wait.

A type of knee breeches, and very nice.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I would actually prefer the plus twos, not that one could wear either, where I live, and be allowed to live.

It seems this thread has finally taken a turn for the better. I have always enjoyed plus fours and the norfolk jacket looks fab. One reason I joined this group is to be reminded there are still places with culture out there.
Thanks

There you go Mull, I am happy to oblige with a spot more culture for you.

Watch this.
So, does one wear the hose under the knee breeches, or over the knee breeches?

Now then Ted. Why is it that I think I am supposed to answer that question? I think this "old trout" will not rise to the fly-----just yet!

I'm just joking, Jock.
I really would rather knee breeches, hose in or out, would come back into fashion for dress up or casual.
