However, about two weeks ago, as we were getting out of the car she looked over at my SWK Standard and looking at the pilling of the acrylic said "You really should get a new kilt." The words were no sooner out of her mouth and I began telling her that I had been thinking about getting an USA Kilts Casual kilt. She looked back and said "I guess I'll have to be more careful about what I say."

Yes indeed...my wife is learning that what she say's to me has a way of coming back & biting her

I envy the many, like you, who have added a kilt or two to their closet for ordinary, and/or occasional wear after having had a swatch of fabric in hand. Almost all of my fabric handling is in fabric stores. For example, a local store chain called JOANN is one store with a wide, deep array of fabric available to the general consumption.
So, here's to you my bro for another fine opportunity to live your own life - kilted.

Get to a Highland Games and check out swatch books. I've had a few swatches tossed in by my kilt maker from time to time asa "freebie" to entice me
