    A Lucky Kiltie....

    Greetings All,

My good wife has been trying to aid in my efforts to lose weight by telling me that I must wait until I lose weight before adding a new Kilt to the Kollection.

However, about two weeks ago, as we were getting out of the car she looked over at my SWK Standard and looking at the pilling of the acrylic said "You really should get a new kilt." The words were no sooner out of her mouth and I began telling her that I had been thinking about getting an USA Kilts Casual kilt. She looked back and said "I guess I'll have to be more careful about what I say."

Well, after emailing Roger, and getting some swatches (Wow, for those who have not seen or handled the Marton Mills PV material, it is amazing fabric) I have pulled the trigger on a USA Kilts Casual Kilt in the Holyrood tartan.

When deciding on the tartan to order, my wife who has been sewing since her youth, was also very impressed with the fabric and noted that it will make for a much more durable kilt than the acrylic fabrics of 8 of my current kilts.

So as has been said before, let the jonesing begin.....

    Cheers,

    Marshal Moroni

I envy the many, like you, who have added a kilt or two to their closet for ordinary, and/or occasional wear after having had a swatch of fabric in hand. Almost all of my fabric handling is in fabric stores. For example, a local store chain called JOANN is one store with a wide, deep array of fabric available to the general consumption.
So, here's to you my bro for another fine opportunity to live your own life - kilted.

    WOOFF.
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Get to a Highland Games and check out swatch books. I've had a few swatches tossed in by my kilt maker from time to time asa "freebie" to entice me

Nice tartan choice. Your SWKs aren't going to get much use this summer after your USAK Casual arrives. You are going to love it.

By the way, his name is Rocky (not Roger).

Good for you, Marshall. I just checked out the Holyrood tartan. It's a beautiful sett. If everything I hear about Rocky's PV kilts is true you're a lucky man. Now go do something nice for your lovely lady.

So, has it arrived yet? You know Rocky and his speedy delivery!!
Oh wait a sec- you have to order it first; sorry-my bad!

I'm looking at getting a Clark (Clergy) or Isle of Skye from Rocky-the Bride says I have to wait 'til she finds a new job and gets back to work first.
