Just prior to that jump I was interviewed for what would indeed become my job here in Edmonton. Obviously I was then really interested in any news about Edmonton, and when I heard about this I was positively impressed. Edmonton was clearly home to a hardy and eccentric breed of men - my kind of place.

Oh, my, CNDSushi: were you there? That song came out later that same year, once I was working at the University of Alberta. I sang along, loud and often. And I was not alone in thinking of mighty Michael Mitchell, though by then I forgotten his name. Thank for the reminder, rdmchris!
