			Something about Spring in Scotland

Well - the Spring might not be as advanced up there as down here on the South coast of England, where the trees are all in bloom, but there must be something in the air up there which we don't have down here.
My niece and her partner are on holiday 'somewhere in Scotland' and she contacted my sister with the news that they are now engaged to be married.

					Thankyou for the good wishes.
The first signs of Spring certainly lift the spirits, even if they also bring on hayfever.

 Now - what to wear?

All the more incentive to go on with the challenge to lose weight!!

Here in Pennsylvania w've had a galloping Spring. Started ten days ago with the forsythia and crocii and already is almost over with the lilacs and dogwoods. Bushes and trees that normally bloom three weeks apart were blooming together. Temperatures went from 30 to 90 and back in 24 hours.
Weather for the NYC Tartan Day Parade was perfect though. Clan MacBean gathered and walked together (all two of us).

The wedding is booked for next year in a little place just North of the border, somewhere close to Gretna Green I have been told.
They stopped just to take a look at the venue and booked their day at the end of the tour.

That's excellent, you will enjoy your trip to Scotland. My friend John who lives in Gretna (he of the black kilt and flat cap) does wedding photography.
I keep trying to persuade him to join xmarks, but he doesn't seem to feel the need to join a forum, kilts are already so commonplace in and around Gretna.
