I'm guessing that is the Argyll's pink hose picture.

Now everyone will be wearing them. :shhhh:

And just to push the silliness a little further, I wonder what Lord Lyon would do in the case of someone, BoldHighlander, if someone had Argyll's heraldry tattooed on his or her arm.

I'm guessing that the Lyon would require the person to have a strap and buckle tattooed around it.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Lord Lyon does not himself prosecute such offenders but is the presiding judge over the cases. The cases are prosecuted by the Procurator Fiscal of Lyon Court - a position that is currently vacant it would appear from the information I gathered from the Wikipedia article (so there may be a job opportunity available for Rathdown and JSFMACLJR ).
Not even remotely interested. Besides, it doesn't pay enough.

Not being an advocate nor a Writer to the Signet, I doubt I could get the job.

    as Matt said :
I wonder if this is just a "stongly expressed opinion." I mean, what jurisdiction does the Lyon Court have over non-heraldic dress and accessories, really?

The simple answer is that it doesn't have any jurisdiction.

If anyone of us want to use artistic and/or decorative images as buttons or decoration, then we may. Of course some may question taste or style, but there is no "law" to prevent us
    Uh...ok.
