			Unique Sporrans

What is your favorite unique sporran? By unique I mean something that one wouldn't ordinarily find in a kilt store or website. This could be one you made, one you saw once, one you own, one you wish you own... if you don't have a link or a picture, at least give a detailed description or reference...
My favorite so far is Matt Newsome's that he is wearing in the photo of the month. Is that bobcat fur? Looks amazing.

 What you ya'll like?

For a novelty sporran, I think the full mask jackalope is the greatest ever!
For the most unusual sporran I have seen, that I would actually wear, I like the feathered sporrans by Kate Macpherson.

					Here is my unique sporran
 http://www.leathercarver.co.uk/gallery.html

It is the one on the left in the middle picture in the second row. I had it made based on the Witham shield from circa 400 BC http://www.britishmuseum.org/explore...am_shield.aspx

The Sporran below, from Leatherworker.net, by the extremely talented JDRamsey. (sorry for the image's size).
I hope to make something similar, possibly out of bobcat, or Angora goat, like our own Bluescelt did http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...sporran-58624/

I forget where i saw it but I think the most interesting sporran I've seen a picture of was made from a pheasant. I was as lovely as it was interesting, but I wonder about how durable the feathers would be on a sporran.

Here's one of my favorite unique sporrans (it's not mine, unfortunately). It's a Ferguson Britt Glen Shira Mor in black and white stingray:

...it looks twice as cool in person, too, and has antiqued bronze tacks in the cantle, in leu of the standard leather braid detail.

Very nice, I'd love to see a larger, clearer pic.

Here are a few of the ones I've made to satisfy my need to be just an arm reach outside the norms at any given moment.
This one bears the cap badge of my first regiment.

[/IMG] This one I made just in case the Decepticons succeed in taking over the world.

[/IMG] Of course it pays to cover all the bases! The pic was taken before I trimmed all the excess glue off the trim on the flap.

I get a notion on a fairly regular basis to make a sporran that appeals to any of my many whims. I think the nextone will be a Thundercat, or possibly a Punisher motif.

					This is mine.

Its a fuzzy photo, but there is a skull and cross bones cameo on the flap. With a spider web back round.
