			Xmarkers gather in Glasgow...Kentucky

Four Xmarkers gather for a photo on the first day of the games.
  HeathBar, JSFMACJR, Skyekilt, and KiltedSurveyor.

Here is Skyekilt and KiltedSurveyor having a deep conversation. I think they were discussing leather for sporrans.

This is a view from outside the tent. The green banner is JSFMACJR's. We were set up next to the Society of Scottish Armigers. I always enjoy looking at the different colorful heraldic banners.

I didn't get a whole lot of other photos. It was really hot on Saturday and I was happy to sit in the shade of the tent. Sunday was much nicer, even had a spot of rain late morning.
On Sunday, following the closing ceremony, an ash spreading ceremony took place. A true patron of the games at Glasgow and most other games across the southeast, Mad Max MacDougald, passed away last January. His ashes were spread to the four corners of the field. Mad Max always had a good time and enjoyed getting kids involved. His enthusiasm will be missed.

Donald's were all over the place. They had so many that they spilled over into our tent. I wasn't really using that part so I didn't mind. I did make some new friends though.

Looks like fun. It is cool to see so may guys in kilts.
I recently had a headhunter call and ask if I would be interested in a job in Glasgow KY. (a pretty good drive from Nashville) I told him I would be interested even if it were Glasgow, Scotland

Great pics, Heath! It was nice to see some of the rabble assembled in the very, very hot sun of Glasgow.

Very sad about Mad Max. I was a kid and remember him....Battle Axe and all walking with Hagar Bob Swanson. My 2 younger brothers LIVED to see that guy and do all the kid activities with him. I'm sure he is seated with his brothers/sisters and kin in Valhala...
