The foliage there appears to be in very regular rows...or is that my mind playing tricks?

Commercial forestry here in Scotland is usually planted in very regular rows.

Yes it was a lone hike which I decided to do on the spur of the moment.

Thanks Alex. Great photos and tour. I always appreciate seeing photos of the homeland and exposure to the terms used to describe it.

I am embarrassed to say, I have never given any thought to your relationship to the poles and the increase in summer daylight. That has been something I have related to our continent, and that little purchase we made from Russia a while back

Consistent with that, I want to thank you for the conversion to real height of the hills, I am forever having to do the math in my head "Let's see, there are about 3 feet to a meter, 3 times ........."
