An Old Fashioned Ceilidh
I was wearing my new Modern Johnston casual from Lochcarron at Walmart this morning, and another local shopper asked if I would be at Eskes for Celtic music this evening.
I had forgotten that tonight was one of the Wednesday Celtic music nights at the local brew pub, but I immediately answered in the affirmative.
Although I was the only kilted person present, it was a great night. There were three fiddlers, one uilleann piper, and two other "wind instrument" players. Three of the musicians had just shown up to sit in!
The music, beer, and food were great. The young ladies were appreciative of a kilted old man. All in all, a very fun night.
Si Deus, quis contra? Spence and Brown on my mother's side, Johnston from my father, proud member of Clan MacDuff!
