I have been happy with all my dealings with both Bob and Doreen.
Done!

A list like this does the heavy lifting in that regard and leaves behind what I consider the more interesting and engaging parts: determining the best value within the budget.
I think this was very nice of the OP and it will be a loss to the community if and when this list is no longer updated.
I agree with you one hundred percent! It would be nice to have a specific place on x marks for something like this, whether it be an open thread or something else. However, not sure if it would be looked upon as advertising for these other companies that do not pay for it.

The problem with having a list of Kiltmakers, prices, options, etc as a permanent part of the forum is keeping it updated.
For example, in just a couple of days the tax structure here in Canada will go through a major change. In a few cases this will effect the pricing of Canadian makers and also as their price is reflected in US Dollars.
The same holds true for Kiltmakers anywhere else. Exchange Rates fluctuate daily.
Then there are those new makers and those that quit the business.
There have, and are still, many compiled lists very similar to what we have in this thread. They are usually out of date the day after they are posted.
If someone wants to take on the thankless job of keeping the list updated we could have a list similar to this as a permanent part of the forum.
